Guest Lecturers: Dr. Mary Burns & Dr. Bernie Villadiego – Dec. 9, 2016
Mary E. Burns DMD, MS, MA is a Board Certified Orthodontist, who has lectured internationally on the topics of TMJ centered Orthodontics and the role of the orthodontist in the treatment of patients with sleep-disordered breathing. She obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating summa cum laude, and then graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Mary Burns will join us on Saturday, Dec 10, for Session 4 of our occlusal residency via live feed from her office in New Hope, PA. She will cover the following topics: Introduction to CBTC, Airway Analysis, Implications of Airway. We are fortunate to have someone of Dr. Burn’s knowledge and expertise willing to give their time to train our residents. Dr. Burns believes in the life-changing work we are doing at the Texas Center and is thrilled to be a part of our residency.
Dr. Bernie Villadiego has practiced dentistry in the San Fernando Valley for over 18 years. He received his DDS degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1989 and went on to complete a general practice residency program at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center. He is a clinical instructor for the Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion residency programs at the Esthetic Professionals Dental Education Center in California. He also mentors dentists at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry with Spear education. He has also completed continuums at the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Washington and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in Florida.
Dr. Bernie Villadiego (graduate of The Stewart Center) will join us on Friday, Dec 9, for a one-day photography workshop: The Emotional Connection – Illuminating the Face. He will teach our residents the clinical side of dental photography as well as how to take professional portraits for marketing their practice. We are so grateful to have the creative expertise and dedication of Dr. Villadiego.
