OUR PHILOSOPHY

The Stewart Center (formerly known as The Texas Center) was established in 2014. Co-founders, Dr. Hal Stewart and Dr. Craig Herre saw both young and established dentists who were frustrated with the current state of their practices. It was their desire to create a comprehensive course that would give doctors a logical, step by step approach to rehabilitating even the most broken-down dentition while prioritizing minimally invasive techniques and staying free of the limitations put on them by insurance companies.

Our goal at The Stewart Center is to provide an intimate learning setting for the dental professional who wants to:

    • Profoundly impact their patients’ health in a significant way.
    • The opportunity to practice in an insurance, third-party free environment.
    • To learn state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques.
    • Acquire the confidence and ability to diagnose, treat, and restore failing dentitions in a systematic and predictable way, utilizing state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques.

OUR FOUNDER

MEET DR. STEWART

Hal Stewart, CEO & Co-Founder

His devotion to his profession is seen in his passion for treating his patients and teaching other dentists worldwide. Dr. Stewart’s commitment to his profession lead to his induction into the American College of Dentists in 2018.

Craig Herre, DDS

He enjoys teaching, coaching, and mentoring dentists which led to his partnership with Dr. Hal Stewart and the formation of The Stewart Center for Minimally Invasive Dental Medicine (formerly known as The Texas Center) in 2014. Dr. Craig Herre has been a leader in dentistry for more than three decades. In his Leawood, Kansas practice he provides comprehensive, individualized care focusing on occlusion based dentistry, diseases of the temporomandibular joint, and management of airway disorders. Together they have developed the premier training center for complete management of occlusal and airway disease, utilizing BioRejuvenation Dentistry.

Dr. Herre is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in Cell Biology and the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry. He is the middle dentist of a three-generation practice and currently enjoys working with his son Dr. Tim Herre. Together, they formed the first practice of this kind in the state of Kansas.

As a Top Dentist in his community and an expert in his field, Dr. Herre has extensive training in advanced methodologies for the treatment of the whole patient. Rather than just focusing on tooth problems as dentists are classically trained, he recognizes that the teeth are a part of an elaborate system. Attention must be given to diagnosis, recognition, and treatment of the entire chewing system to restore and maintain optimal health.

Dr. Herre has trained at the LD Pankey institute, Spear Center, and is a graduate of Orognathic Bioesthetics International. He has completed countless hours of continuing education in TMD and occlusal problem and has had the opportunity to present throughout the United States. Dr. Herre is a strong advocate for organized dentistry. Currently he is the 2nd Vice President of the American Dental Association. He serves on the ADA Budget and Finance Committee, and the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In addition, he has chaired the ADA’s Council on Communications and served as a Delegate from Kansas to the ADA House of Delegates for the past ten years. Dr. Herre is also a past president of the Kansas Dental Association and has held all the offices in his state and local societies.

He currently serves as the state chairman of the Peer Review committee in Kansas.

He was the recipient of the Kansas Dental Association Dentist of the Year in 2016 and has been elected as a fellow in the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Society. Dr. Herre is a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, and 5th District Dental Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental fraternity.

Dr. Herre along with his wife Joanne enjoy spending time with their three children and six grandchildren. He enjoys fitness activities, golf, landscaping, reading and traveling. However, his passion is dentistry and giving back to the profession that has given him so much.
